Founder Jon Katz has produced independent and studio-based films and television series for over 20 years. He is currently producing multiple features and episodic series, including drama Catching Dust starring Erin Moriarty, Jai Courtney, Dina Shihabi, and Ryan Corr, a feature documentary currently in production with a major streamer, and series adaptations of several books. Jon is also co-creator and co-writer of scripted comedy podcast series The Rubber Room, starring Alison Pill, Natasha Leggero, Andy Daly, David Cross, Patton Oswalt, Erik Griffin, Tony Hale, Bobby Lee, Becky Drysdale, Melle Powers, and Alex English, now airing on SiriusXM satellite radio channel 99 and available on the SiriusXM app and Stitcher Premium. Jon’s prior credits include the upcoming Dali Land starring Ben Kingsley, feature documentary Dear Mr. Brody, HBO’s Emmy-nominated Paterno starring Al Pacino directed by Barry Levinson, and The Man Who Knew Infinity starring Dev Patel and Jeremy Irons.

Jon began his entertainment career in development at Dustin Hoffman’s Punch Productions after graduating from Columbia University. He is also a graduate of Boston University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Law Review. After practicing corporate, entertainment, and technology law at Richards & O’Neil, LLP (later merged into Morgan Lewis, LLP), he joined acclaimed independent production company Pressman Film (producer of iconic films Badlands, Conan the Barbarian, The Crow, Wall Street, Bad Lieutenant, American Psycho, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, and Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans), ultimately rising to Chief Operating Officer and Head of Production, where he oversaw all aspects of the company’s operations across all phases of the development, finance, production, sales, and distribution of scripted and unscripted feature films and episodic series.
